Katie is an owner of Sierra Financial Advisors, LLC and Select Your Term.com and graduated from the University of Nevada with a degree in Social Psychology and English. She has been a financial advisor for over seventeen years specifically focusing on estate planning, investment planning, education planning, and insurance planning. Katie is also a registered representative with 1st Global Capital Corp. Member FINRA, SIPC and holds the Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. She has obtained her life and health insurance license in many states including Nevada, California, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, North Carolina, Utah and Washington and also has completed two designations specializing in the senior market including Long-Term Care Professional (LTCP) and Certified Senior Analyst (CSA). Katie is a native Nevadan and lives in Reno with her husband and their six children. She is an active board member for Step 2, a non-profit organization that supports women and families impacted by alcohol and drug abuse. In her free time, Katie enjoys many outdoor activities including camping and attending the various sports activities that her children are active in.
